Support Our Seniors Programme Coordinator

Esther Bovell serves as the Support Our Seniors (SOS) Program Coordinator at the Cayman Islands Red Cross, where she coordinates volunteer-driven initiatives that support the wellbeing, independence, and dignity of seniors throughout the Cayman Islands. In her role, she oversees programmes that assist older adults with daily living activities, including grocery shopping, transportation to medical appointments, companionship visits, and other essential forms of practical and social support that help seniors remain connected and cared for within their communities.

Esther brings a strong background in community service, administration, and organisational leadership, shaped by her years of involvement with international humanitarian and peacebuilding organisations in Trinidad and Tobago. From 2014 to 2016, she served on the Board of Directors as Secretary for both the Trinidad and Tobago chapter of the Universal Peace Federation and the Trinidad and Tobago chapter of the Women’s Federation for World Peace, organisations affiliated with global initiatives promoting peacebuilding, interfaith cooperation, family values, women’s leadership, and community development. Both organisations maintain consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and are internationally recognised for their humanitarian and educational work.

In addition to her nonprofit and community-based work, Esther also has a professional background in Human Resources, bringing valuable experience in communication, people management, and organisational support. Her compassionate approach, professionalism, and dedication to service continue to positively impact the individuals and communities she serves.
