The Cayman Islands Red Cross is proud to announce the launch of its new project, “RISE”. Through the European Union’s RESEMBID Programme, CI$350,000 has been allocated to the RISE project, which is focused on increasing resilience in the Cayman Islands community in accordance with RESEMBID’s goals of helping Caribbean OCTS adapt to extreme and recurrent natural events.

The Cayman Islands Red Cross is honored to be presented with the National Hero’s Day Award for its volunteerism and charitable services. This award was given to the Red Cross for its immense contribution to Caymanian society, having dedicated the last 60 years to providing invaluable services to our islands.

The volunteers manned the government shelters and made sure all 9 Red Cross containers are fully stocked with equipment.

We are proud to announce that Jondo Obi, our devoted Director, has received the British Empire Medal for services in the community. The medal was given to Obi as part of the Queen’s Jubilee honors.
